Sony is pretty good when it comes to the big events. Last year it smashed the PlayStation 4 reveal, the E3 presentation and the Gamescom conference, helping to build momentum for its big console release and help sales hit mega heights.

Is it asking too much for Sony to come out and do it all again? Former CEO Jack Tretton has moved on to pastures new and won't be on stage to "drop the mic", but the platform-holder still has plenty up its sleeve and could blow the audience away if it plays its cards right. Here's our preview of what we can expect Sony to show off at E3, and what surprises we might be in for.

Uncharted 4

The PS4 is selling impressively all over the world, but does it have that killer exclusive game that players must own? Let's answer that with a resounding no. If there's one title that would be sure to have people paying attention - whether they're Sony fans or not - it's Uncharted 4.

The team at Naughty Dog released one of the games of 2013 with The Last of Us, and already we can't wait to see what they have in store for us with a new entry in the Uncharted series. So far we know hardly anything about it, other than the fact it's a PS4 exclusive and it's set in Africa. Sony really wants to lead or end with Uncharted 4 to generate the most hype.

The Order: 1886

This will almost definitely be on show. The Order: 1886 was recently delayed to 2015, disappointing onlookers who were looking forward to the third-person shooter set in an alternate history of London. Delays are always hard to swallow, but maybe a five-minute gameplay walkthrough could make us forgive them.

We want to see more of the superb visuals that are defining this game, and we want to be given a bit more detail on the setting and timeline, which has the potential to offer some really great stories.

DriveClub

Another game plagued by delays, DriveClub was initially scheduled to launch alongside the PlayStation 4. That never happened, or course, and now we're waiting until September before we can get our hands on the full release.

There was also some controversy surrounding the PS Plus edition of the game, as it was originally thought that DriveClub would be fully unlocked for PS Plus members. That isn't the case, however, as PS Plus members will only get a handful of tracks and cars and they'll have to pay to unlock more. Sony really needs to show us why DriveClub has been worth the delay.

The Last of Us Remastered

Maybe not as exciting as the others, The Last of Us Remastered is still a prettier version of last year's blockbuster and that means something. The game built such a huge fan base on the PS3 that the chance to play through Joel and Ellie's adventure all over again on upgraded hardware is probably something a lot of people would love.

Expect to see some last-gen/next-gen gameplay comparisons and hear why you really do need The Last of Us Remastered in your life.

God of War

The guys at Sony Santa Monica tweeted something very interesting earlier this week: "The Gods have spoken once again, maybe they are just excited for #E3 #earthquake #LA".

Now, this could just be a reference to the earthquake that shook Los Angeles a week before the biggest gaming event around, or it could be a tease pointing to a new game in the God of War series. Kratos making his first outing on the PS4 would be huge news and something we'd love to see.

The Last Guardian

We've almost given up on this ever being released, but Sony execs still maintain that The Last Guardian is in the works and that it will come out when it's ready. Will it finally be re-revealed next week? We can but hope.

Now would be the perfect time, what with the PS4 needing some hit titles to add to its library. Expect the internet to go into meltdown if we even catch a glimpse of this.

More??

There are plenty of other rumours in the pipeline and several developers that are rumoured to be working on big, AAA games for the PS4. They include Killzone studio Guerilla Games, LittleBigPlanet creator Media Molecule and Beyond: Two Souls dev Quantic Dream. Will any of those series' have another game on the way, or are we looking at something totally different altogether? We won't know for sure until next week, but Sony's E3 conference is sure to be a must-watch for gamers all over the world.
