Capcom tempted to remake Resident Evil 2

Capcom could remake Resident Evil 2 if there is enough demand from the fans.

The game was originally released in 1998 with many claiming it as the best title in the series.

Capcom producer, Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, said the studio would consider a remake if there was a lot of support from fans.

He told Gamespot: "Just to lay all the cards on the table, that way there's no rumor-mongering or things like that, no, we are not working on a Resident Evil 2 remake as of now.

"But if the fans really clamour for it; if there's a groundswell of support for remaking that game, then I think that's something Capcom would take under consideration."

Capcom are currently getting ready to release Resident Evil 6 on 2 October.
