Ubisoft: Wii U GamePad has 'crazy' response time
The Wii U GamePad has such a good response time that competitors will struggle to keep up, according to Ubisoft's Michel Ancel.
Ancel, the creator of Rayman and the man in charge of Rayman Legends for Wii U, claims the GamePad puts Nintendo "really out in front of things."
"The response time is crazy," he told Nintendo Power. "In fact, I think competitors will need some time to [get their solutions] this responsive."
Ancel said the GamePad runs at 60 frames per second, with latency of "just 1/60 of a second, so it's one frame late. It's crazy. It's so fast, it's almost instant. That's why it responds so well. So it can be used as a real game-design thing."
The Wii U is edging closer to its European launch date of 30 November.
