XCOM: Enemy Unknown getting Slingshot Content Pack

2K Games has announced the Slingshot Content Pack for XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

The pack will be the first of two planned add-ons for the strategy title.

It will introduce a new Triad operative to the game as they are tasked with a set of missions from the Council, including fighting in the skies over China.

The pack will include three new maps, a playable squad character and new character customisation options.

A release date and pricing for the Slingshot Content Pack is set to be announced soon.

2K Games also confirmed the Elite Soldier Pack, available to those who pre-ordered the game, is now open to all players through Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC.

The Elite Soldier Pack is priced at 400 Microsoft Points or $4.99 USD.
