Metro developer not impressed by Wii U
Metro: Last Light won't be heading to the Wii U anytime soon because of a 'horrible, slow' CPU.
The game has only been announced for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, with many people expecting it to head to Nintendo's new console eventually.
However chief technical officer at 4A Games, Oles Shishkovtsov, said the Wii U hardware just isn't good enough.
"[The] Wii U has a horrible, slow CPU," he told NowGamer.
4A Games studio representative, Huw Beynon, added: "We had an early look at it, we thought we could probably do it, but in terms of the impact we would make on the overall quality of the game - potentially to its detriment - we just figured it wasn't worth pursuing at this time.
"It's something we might return to. I really couldn't make any promises, though."
The previous title in the series, Metro 2033, was made just for Xbox 360 and PC, while Beynon noted that adding the PS3 to development was a big enough step.
"We had an initial look at the Wii U, but given the size of the team and compared to where we were last time, just developing for the PlayStation 3 is a significant addition."
