Hotline Miami 2 in the works

A sequel to 2D top-down action title Hotline Miami has been confirmed by the game's creator.

Hotline Miami launched last month for PC and was praised for its fast-paced, violent gameplay.

Now the creator of Hotline Miami, Jonatan Soderstrom, has revealed that there will be a sequel.

"Working while listening to the sweet tunes of a preliminary Hotline Miami 2 soundtrack that we've put together during the weekend," he wrote on Twitter.

Soderstrom added that right now they are only in the planning stage and that they are still working on fixes for the original title.

"Just want to make it clear that we're still working on fixing Hotline Miami, we haven't actually started working on anything new yet!

"We only have some general plans for the next game."
