EA bans FIFA 13 Ultimate Team cheaters

EA has banned a small number of users who tried to gain an unfair advantage in FIFA 13's Ultimate Team.

The service went offline earlier this week as EA tried to fix an unbalanced economy.

Now the mode has been restored with EA claiming that permanent bans will be given to those who try to cheat the system.

"Earlier this week, a very small number of users attempted to gain an unfair advantage by manipulating coins," wrote an EA community manager on the official forum.

"To ensure a fair economy for all our users we decided to take FUT offline in order to restore a level playing field.

"We take issues like this very seriously. Permanent bans for FIFA 13 have been served to all users who attempted to gain an unfair advantage."
