343 Industries already working on next Halo
343 Industries has already started work on the next Halo project.
Halo 4 launched last month to critical acclaim and successful sales, but 343 Industries is already thinking about the next step in the series.
Franchise development director for Halo, Frank O'Connor, said ideas are already being prototyped for the next Halo.
"A lot of people at 343 are already prototyping ideas and software and art for future Halo products," he told CVG.
"I can't say more than that, but work on the game started actually before we launched Halo 4 and continues apace as we cycle staff through the team's vacation breaks.
"We're excited about the next game."
343 is still continuing to work on Halo 4 content, with a new Crimson map pack set to arrive 10 December.
The first season of the Spartan Ops cooperative series was also a huge success, but O'Connor isn't sure if there will be a second season.
"Spartan Ops season two is yet to be decided, we're looking at how the first season does," he added.
"We've got such great responses from [live-action web series] Forward Unto Dawn and Spartan Ops that we're pretty happy with it and we're learning a lot of really interesting stuff for the future.
"You are going to see a spectrum of Halo support through the next year and beyond."
