Dark Souls 2 detailed
New details have been released for the sequel to action role-playing game Dark Souls.
According to Edge [via CVG], Dark Souls 2 is roughly the same size as the first Dark Souls with events taking place after the original.
The setting will be different though as Lordran is not being used, with developer From Software claiming the name of the new location as 'key to the story' and that it will be revealed at a later date.
Game director, Tomohiro Shibuya, declared that he wanted to make Dark Souls 2 more accessible than its predecessor.
"I personally feel the covenant system was something that was difficult to fully absorb and experience [in] Dark Souls," he said.
"I intend to make it more accessible to players. And that's not just with the covenant system, but with a lot of other aspects that I felt were difficult to adapt to."
Shibuya added that vehicles are always being discussed by the development team.
"We want to constantly think of something new that hasn't been tried before, so that's where the idea [of the chariot] came up.
"Being in a ship or boat is definitely something we are considering but being able to control one is not in the works."
