The War Z taken down from Steam
Valve has confirmed that The War Z has been removed from the Steam store following false advertising claims.
Yesterday it was revealed that there were a number of features listed on The War Z product page that weren't actually in the game.
Valve's Doug Lombardi has since issued a statement to Polygon explaining that The War Z should never have been made available to download via Steam in the first place.
"From time to time a mistake can be made and one was made by prematurely issuing a copy of War Z for sale via Steam," he said.
"We apologise for this and have temporarily removed the sale offering of the title until we have time to work with the developer and have confidence in a new build.
"Those who purchase the game and wish to continue playing it via Steam may do so. Those who purchased the title via Steam and are unhappy with what they received may seek a refund by creating a ticket at our support site here."
The War Z producer, Sergey Titov, claimed that players had 'misread' information about game features.
