Capcom survey questions fans on digital releases

Capcom has created a survey to ask fans for their thoughts on what digital titles they'd like to see in the future.

The survey asks whether fans would prefer to see straight ports of classic titles, HD remakes of classic titles, franchise extensions, franchise reboots or completely new IP.

The publisher's senior vice president, Christian Svensson, said the results of the survey wouldn’t guarantee anything.

"We have many opinions internally and we're looking to gather some data about your buying habits and what franchises and even title types you'd like us to make in the future," Svensson wrote on the Capcom blog.

"There's no guarantees on what the outcomes will be, but I promise you, this data will be a factor in our decision making process. I'll be compiling the data in about a week (closing just after Christmas) and sharing the results internally with Japan before the end of the year.

The survey also asks participants how much they'd be willing to spend on a digital title and what franchises they prefer.
