Aliens: Colonial Marines arriving late on Wii U

Aliens: Colonial Marines will be arriving onto the Wii U sometime after it has hit other platforms.

Yesterday Gearbox Software announced that the shooter had gone gold on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC, but failed to mention any details of the Wii U version.

Eurogamer spoke to Sega about the issue, who said that it was due out in the Wii U launch window which runs to the end of March, and that the 12 February release didn't apply to Nintendo's console.

The Wii U version is being handled by Demiurge Studios.

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford has recently spoken of his admiration for the Wii U GamePad, which he claims is the best controller Nintendo has ever made for a first-person shooter.
