Need for Speed: Most Wanted hits Wii U in March

EA has confirmed that Need for Speed: Most Wanted will race onto the Wii U on 21 March.

EA is calling the Wii U version of the arcade racer an 'enhanced edition', with new co-op features which help players team up with friends.

A local co-op mode called Co-Driver will let one player drive a car with a Wii Remote and another use the Wii U GamePad to provide navigational assistance.

"Using just their fingertips, a partner can distract pursuing cops, switch from night to day or activate enhanced performance for any car and even control the amount of traffic on the road," said EA.

"This is the ultimate advantage for gamers who like to stir up trouble for the cops, their friends or just for fun."

The Wii U version also comes with the Ultimate Speed Pack, the first batch of DLC released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions last month.
