Kinect Gears of War cancelled
Epic Games has revealed that the next iteration of Gears of War - an unannounced title with Kinect support - has been cancelled.
In an interview with GameSpot Epic's unofficial spokesperson, Cliffy B said that Gears of War: Exile had been cancelled, and that was all he was saying on the matter. Earlier in the day at a panel at the expo he said the studio were working on a new PC game.
"Let's just bury the hatchet now," he said. "Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled."
Gears of War has been one of the staple exclusive titles for the Microsoft platforms and has always done well.
Epic, also responsible for the Unreal engine, has also recently signed a deal with government agencies to help develop the military's training with the use of technology.
None of this, however, is related, but noteworthy.
It's expected there will be another Gears of War game, however, but it might be the Kinect technology needs to be a lot better before a title like Gears could be realistically delivered.
