GRID 2 gets release date and pre order bonuses
Codemasters has announced that the long anticipated GRID 2 will be hitting stores on the 31 May of this year.
You will also be able to pre order a special edition, which will give players extra content, redeemable via downloadable menus in Xbox LIVE, PSN and Windows.
The latest GRID 2 trailer was released earlier this week, featuring footage from the game and a real-life race between two McLarens.
UK gamers will also have the option to buy the Brands Hatch Edition which includes two additional packs to expand the game, being the McLaren Racing Pack and the Head Start Pack.
The McLaren Racing Pack will offer gamers two new routes around the Brands Hatch circuit, as well as the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition car to race in single-player, multiplayer and a special online event.
The Head Start pack will allow players to access the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT car to race in single-player, multiplayer as well as offering players discounts in the Car Upgrades Store.
For those that haven't played GRID before and are racing fans, this is an absolute must. It's one of the first games to have set the standard in the racing genre, and this new addition to the family promises to do a whole lot more.
There will be a load of tracks from across the globe to race on, a deep and distinctive customisation of vehicles and progression and challenges online and offline. And all this from a studio that knows how to make driving games.
We're excited... not least because our friends at xbox360achievements are doing the acheivement and trophies list...!
