It's not been the best of years for THQ, but the publisher is keen to iterate that this year's scheduled titles will not be released until they're perfect.

THQ executive vice-president Danny Bilson told Ripten the company has "been working really hard on…some great games over the next three years" and that despite being threatened with delisting from NASDAQ if the companies shares don't go up, "there is no concern" with dealing with that. He also said that the threat of delisting would not change the shipping schedules, but when pushed on the Darksiders II release date, he was unable to confirm.

Speaking of Darksiders II, Bilson also said the game was looking "really good" and had a "very, very lengthy and involved campaign.

"We're not going to ship it before it's done."

With THQ also downsizing, Bilson also said that no game's production had been compromised as a result.

But the most interesting news was around the South Park RPG, which both Matt Stone and Trey Parker are both working on.

Asked if the game would be released on schedule, that is at the end of 2012, Bilson said that it would be "very close". As the game is being written by the creators, Bilson said the "production process ebbs and flows with their schedule. They are in the middle of a season right now, and as soon as they are done, they get back to the game, and their season takes them out for a couple of months at a time. Again, it’s like I said about Darksiders. We can’t afford to ship it until it’s perfect.

"Matt and Trey won’t ship until it’s their vision of this ultimate role playing game, where you’re the new kid in town and it’s like being in a South Park episode. Once all the pieces are together, we’ll announce a date and we’ll ship it."
