Borderlands 2 sold nearly 6 million units

Publisher Take-Two has revealed that Borderlands 2 has sold nearly 6 million units since its release last September.

It was also confirmed during a financial call that the game 'remains on pace to be the highest selling title in 2K's history'.

NBA 2K13 also did well by selling 4.5 million copies worldwide, while XCOM: Enemy Unknown was said to be a commercial success but no sales figures were mentioned.

Take-Two's net revenue was up from $236.3 million USD to $415.8 million USD during the financial quarter, with net income rising to $70.9 million USD from $14.2 million USD.

2013 is set to be another big year for Take-Two, with massive titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and BioShock Infinite being released.
