Activision signs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles license

Activision has signed a multi-year deal to develop video games for Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series.

The CG-animated series of the classic Ninja Turtles show first aired in October 2012 in the UK and Ireland.

Now Activision will be creating three games based on the series, with the first scheduled for release this summer.

"The fans of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are unique in that they span generations and are very passionate," said Activision Publishing Minneapolis vice president Kurt Niederloh.

"We respect this passion and look forward to working with Nickelodeon to create games that embody the spirit of the property."
