76 million Xbox 360s sold worldwide

Microsoft has announced that 76 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold around the world.

The figure is more than three times the amount of what the original Xbox managed to shift.

It also makes the Xbox 360 the best-selling console in the United States for the last two years.

Microsoft also revealed that the Kinect had sold 24 million units since its release over two years ago.

Xbox Live has now expanded to 46 million members, a 15% increase year-on-year.
