Sony reveals PlayStation 4

Sony has announced the PlayStation 4.

As expected, Sony's press conference has kicked off with an announcement that the PlayStation 4 is indeed in the works, and we'll be getting all the details over the next few hours.

So far, Andrew House - president and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment - has commented that it will support "free-to-play" and "episodic" gaming. Stay tuned for more.

The console is due to be released this "holiday", meaning we can expect to see it hit the shelves in November sometime.
