PS4 won't block used games
Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will not block pre-owned games.
There was a huge backlash following the news that Sony was thinking of blocking the use of second-hand games from the PS4.
Now Sony Worldwide Studios boss, Shuhei Yoshida, has stated that the upcoming console will be able to play used games.
"So, used games can play on PS4. How is that?" Yoshida told Eurogamer.
Yoshida was then asked whether he agreed that people buying games have a right to pass them on to who they like.
"Yes. That's the general expectation by consumers," he replied. "They purchase physical form, they want to use it everywhere, right? So that's my expectation."
It's still not clear whether players will have to pay extra for a special code to play second hand games.
