DualShock 4 given details and images
Sony has released images and details of the new DualShock 4 controller.
The platform-holder claims that the DualShock 4 is similar to the DualShock 3, but there are a few 'key enhancements'.
One of them is a new highly sensitive six-axis sensor, which improves motion control.
The dual analog sticks have also been tweaked to offer better precision, while the shape of the sticks has also been altered for 'more delicate manipulation'.
The L2 and R2 buttons now have a curved design, similar to the trigger buttons on the Xbox 360 controller.
A new 'Options' button has been added which 'combines the functions of the DualShock 3's Select and Start buttons for operating in-game menus'.
There is also a 'Share' button, allowing players to broadcast their gameplay in real-time so that other gamers can watch and even join your game.
The front side of the DualShock 4 has an LED light that illuminates in different colours, providing information to players such as when their character has taken damage.
Finally, the new touchpad at the front of the DualShock 4 will be used as an input method, allowing players 'more ways to interact with games'.
The PlayStation 4 was revealed last night. Click here to read up on the main details.
