Metro: Last Light given new release date

Deep Silver has given Metro: Last Light a new release date of 17 May.

The shooter was originally scheduled to launch in March 2013 under THQ before the publisher went bankrupt.

Koch Media, parent company of Deep Silver, then acquired the rights to the IP which led to the altered release date.

"The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary," said Koch Media's Dr. Klemens Kundratitz.

"We won't leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive the attention it deserves."
