PS4 will have 4K movie service, 100GB downloads
Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 will feature a 4K movie service in the future, but some downloads could reach 100GB in size.
4K is the next step up in high definition video, producing images with four times as many pixels as standard high definition.
Sony Electronics President, Phil Molyneux, told The Verge that Sony's 4K movie service would be arriving on the new console, but warned about huge download sizes around 100GB.
He claimed that broadband speed and bandwidth are "challenges that [Sony] have to work through" but "we've got some very good ideas that will make that a comfortable consumer experience".
Earlier this year Sony's Kaz Hirai claimed it would be 'a journey' to get consumers used to long downloads to experience 4K movies.
Sony has previously confirmed that games would not be part of the 4K service, just movies and pictures.
