Borderlands 2 to get sixth playable character

Borderlands 2 is set to receive a sixth playable character in the near future.

Gearbox attended the SXSW Interactive Festival over the weekend and showed off a short teaser trailer for a new character class.

It reveals a large, mysterious figure doing melee damage to everyone it comes across.

"Deep beneath Pandora, an experiment has escaped," says the trailer. "Bandits beware, a new Vault Hunter is coming. More mayhem awaits."

Gearbox will also be releasing its last planned add-on pack for Borderlands 2 in the coming months.
