PS4 pre-orders at 'unprecedented demand'
PlayStation 4 pre-orders are seeing an 'unprecedented demand', according to an online retailer.
ShopTo claims that traffic for the site tripled when Sony revealed its newest console to audiences last month.
Spokesman for the site, James Rowson, also said the PS4 is the company's most pre-ordered console in its history.
"It's unprecedented demand," Rowson told NowGamer. "It's been the most successful console pre-order to date in our seven year history.
"It resonates with our customer base because we're very much a hardcore gamers' destination, so the launch of a new PlayStation or Xbox console was always going to be pretty strong for us."
Rowson added that pre-orders for games have also been positive.
"Killzone and Watch Dogs are the two favourites but DriveClub's been doing pretty well as well."
Despite ShopTo giving the PS4 a price of £399.95 GBP, Rowson said "nothing has been confirmed from anyone" over the final cost of the console.
