Nintendo registers Super Mario 4 domain

After it announced a new 2D game for 3DS earlier this year, Nintendo has registered the domain supermario4.

The domain, spotted by an IGN reader, was registered on 3 April, but the domain is currently redirecting users to the official Nintendo website.

We're not really sure what Nintendo will call the latest Super Mario game, but it's unlikely it'll be called Super Mario 4. Having said that, it might very well be called that if it's a return to the stylised world on a 2D platform.

With so many Mario games they could literally call it anything, but we'll let you know if we hear anything.
