Disney Infinity delayed by two months
Disney has confirmed that toy/game hybrid Disney Infinity has been pushed back to 20 August.
The delay comes after retailers asked Disney for a more opportunistic release window.
Big game launches in June include The Last of Us, Company of Heroes 2 and Remember Me, while August looks to be a much quieter month for game releases.
"The date became an issue in terms of [retailers] asking, 'Is there a better opportunity here?'" Disney Interactive's John Pleasants told the New York Times.
Pleasants believes the delay will offer developers the chance to add more polish to the final product.
"We could deliver in June if we wanted to," he added. "Will a two-month timing change help us? Sure, of course. It gives us a little more time to add bells and whistles and make sure it really sings and pops."
