All Tomb Raider DLC will be for multiplayer

Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that all future Tomb Raider downloadable content will be based around multiplayer modes.

Tomb Raider's first DLC expansion, The Caves and Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack, was released yesterday for Xbox 360.

Global brand director for Tomb Raider, Karl Stewart, said an expansion to the single player story isn't in the works.

"There are currently no plans in place for any single player expansions,” Stewart said on Reddit.

"All of our DLC is based around the multiplayer experience for now."

There aren't any plans for Lara Croft's classic outfit to be released via DLC, either.

"We did try to have a lot of nods to the classics in this reboot," said creative director Noah Hughes, "and even her outfit itself is intended to evoke her classic outfit in a way, but is more practical for her situation.

"This was just an example of trying to play that balance between fresh and familiar."
