3D technology could hit iOS devices

Although there have been many rumours over the years of Apple implementing 3D technology, the company has yet to take advantage of the patents it's registered.

A recent job posting from Apple, however, hints that future iOS devices might have 3D built in, according to 9to5mac.

The job post requires a "Computer Vision specialist to strengthen its multi-view stereo research group", with the candidate also being familiar with "multi-view stereo and 3D reconstruction" and "cameras and surfaces in a 3D environment".

Recently the New York Times reported Jobs had "finally cracked" Apple TV, but he reference was to seamless control from iOS devices. So if you had a iOS device you could use it to control your Apple TV using Siri. If this 3D technology works, it's likely this will be implemented too.
