News round-up: LucasArts, Black Ops, Far Cry
We've had our hands full at the Middle East Film & Comic Con event in Dubai this week, interviewing people and finding out exclusive news from the games industry.
Due to our busy schedule we've been unable to update the site on a regular basis as we'd like, so here's a quick round-up of the biggest stories over the last few days.
Disney shuts down LucasArts games studio
Disney has shut down the games branch of LucasArts studios, putting 150 people out of employment.
This is also seemingly the end of titles such as Star Wars 1313 and Star Wars: First Assault, although both games could be picked up by an external publisher at a later date.
It's a sad end for LucasArts, who were responsible for bringing classic titles such as Monkey Island and Grim Fandango to the world.
Black Ops 2 'Uprising' DLC confirmed
Activision has confirmed the next batch of downloadable content for Black Ops 2, and it's titled 'Uprising'.
The pack adds four new maps and a new zombies mode called 'Mob of the Dead', which sees players head to Alcatraz.
The pack will cost 1200 Microsoft Points when its released over Xbox Live on 16 April, or £10.28 GBP when it launches for PlayStation 3 and PC at a later date.
