MEFCC Games Journalism panel
The MEFCC is still rumbling on and we've just hosted a panel on games journalism, featuring some of the leading names in the industry.
Serge from IGN ME, Dan Webb from X360A, host of the Region 2 games show Fifi Prosper and ArabicGamers very own editor-in-chief Tamer Asfahani were all on stage giving their insider thoughts on the industry.
They spoke about building sites for emerging markets such as the Middle East and the challenges it involves. They also spoke about breaking into niche markets, creating content that is accessible to a wide audience and the struggles of working with publishers.
Localisation was also an important topic, with the understanding that more games will be localised into Arabic in the near future and that eventually every videogame will have an Arabic version.
They also managed to agree on one point; events such as the Middle East Film & Comic Con right here in Dubai are key to building a better future for Arabic video game fans around the world.
We'll be bringing you a video of the key parts of the journalism panel in the coming weeks so be sure to check back in the very near future.
