Next Xbox to launch in November, claims analyst
The next Xbox will launch in November 2013, according to Microsoft analyst Paul Thurrot.
Thurrot believes the new console will be revealed at an event on 21 May, it will be named just "Xbox" and it will come in $500 USD and $300 USD models.
The $300 USD model will come with some sort of subscription, while Thurrot claims to have seen documents outlining the need for the Xbox to be always-online.
"Looking at some of the stuff I got a long time ago, it actually says 'must be internet-connected to use' in the notes," Thurrot told WhatTheTech. "And that's all I have, but it does say that."
Thurrot also spoke about a $99 USD Xbox 360 model, codenamed 'Stingray', that is due for release later this year. This may mean the next Xbox will not play Xbox 360 games.
