Deep Silver not interested in Wii U
Saints Row and Dead Island publisher Deep Silver isn't interested in bringing games to the Wii U.
Nintendo's newest console is finding it a struggle to gain third-party support from publishers, and Deep Silver is the latest to admit that it has no plans for the Wii U.
COO of Deep Silver, Geoff Mulligan, claimed the Wii U audience doesn't respond as well to the publisher's franchises.
"Not Wii U," he told GameInformer. "With other companies, I've been very successful with Nintendo. With Wii U, the Nintendo market right now and their audience is not who we reach best.
"It's not something we're entertaining in the near or foreseeable future."
Instead Deep Silver will focus all its efforts on developing for the PlayStation 4 and next Xbox, with Mulligan adding, "You'll see us there, but not on the first day."
