Bethesda finished with Skyrim, new project incoming

Bethesda has confirmed that there will be no more downloadable content for Skyrim, saying that a new project is now receiving its full attention.

Minor updates will still be added to the award-winning Skyrim now and then, but we've seen the last of full-on expansions like Dawnguard and Dragonborn.

The studio will now be focusing on a new, unannounced project, which is heavily rumoured to be Fallout 4.

"For the last year and a half we've been working on new content for Skyrim, from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs," said Bethesda.

"Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio's full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet."

The new project will almost definitely be released on next-generation consoles and PC.
