Bethesda announces The Evil Within

Bethesda has announced new survival horror game The Evil Within.

The new title is the first to be developed at Tango Gameworks, run by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

Mikami is hoping to put his experience of the horror genre to full use for The Evil Within.

"We're incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within," he said. "My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action."

It will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC and next-generation consoles in 2014, and more information is due to be released next week.
