SimCity coming to Mac in June
Maxis has announced that SimCity will be released for Mac computers on 11 June.
The Mac version will be available as a digital download via EA's Origin service or other online retailers.
It was also confirmed that players who have bought the PC version will get the Mac version as a free digital download.
"SimCity is coming to Mac on 11 June and one purchase will give you both the Mac and PC versions," said Maxis general manager Lucy Bradshaw.
"You only need to buy SimCity once to play together across the same servers, regardless of which version you're playing.
"We didn't want to make any compromises when it came to the Mac so we created a native version that is optimised for the hardware and OSX."
Players currently enjoying the PC version of SimCity can look forward to the first big update for the game today, although it means there'll be some server downtime for a few hours.
