Sony working to enable Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends

Sony is working on a solution to the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends not being available on the PlayStation 3.

Mass Effect 3's multiplayer mode has been buoyed up by regular multiplayer weekends, offering bonus experience and exclusive items, but PS3 gamers have been left out in the cold as the bonus weekends - thus far - haven't been available on that particular console.

It sounds like a solution isn't too far off, though, as Sony has told Shacknews that it is "currently working together with EA and BioWare on an implementation to bring Mass Effect 3 multiplayer weekends to PS3."

While that's not exactly the news that PS3 Mass Effect fans have been waiting for, it's an encouraging sign, and it sounds like we'll be seeing the multiplayer weekends hit PS3 at some point. Let's just hope it happens while there's still a sizeable player-base.
