The Bureau: XCOM Declassified revealed
2K Games has announced The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, from the makers of BioShock 2.
The game was initially branded as a first-person shooter back in 2010, but now it's been redesigned as a third-person shooter with tactical elements.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will take place in 1962, during the height of the cold war.
"In 1962, one covert group stood as the first and only defence against outside threats," reads the game description. "From the shadows, The Bureau defended the world, protected humanity and erased the truth."
The Bureau has also taken some inspiration from Firaxis strategy title XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
"The team has been working hard to leverage core XCOM elements like tactical decision-making and permanent death of squad mates in a purposeful way that makes this a unique tactical shooter," said 2K Marin creative director Morgan Gray.
"To that end, The Bureau will challenge players unlike any other third-person tactical shooter."
Expect to see The Bureau: XCOM Declassified from 23 August, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
