Free-to-play PS3 shooter Dust 514 given release date

CCP Games has given PlayStation 3 exclusive Dust 514 a release date of 14 May.

The shooter connects to space MMO Eve Online and is a free download for PS3 players.

Dust 514 will also be updated regularly with new features over the coming years.

"Reaching this point has required many years, hundreds of CCP employees, and the engagement of millions of players who contributed fantastic feedback during the beta process," said CCP's Hilmar Veigar Pétursson.

"Now we start the real journey, which, decades from now, we will look back on with astonishment at all we accomplished. The Eve Universe will outlive us all."

Dust 514 includes customisable characters and up to 32 players fighting on the same battlefield.
