Mobile devices will take over as the dominant gaming platform in three short years, according to analysts at Juniper Research.
A study into the mobile and tablet games market indicates that an amazing $3.03billion USD will be spent on mobile games in 2016.
If correct, that would be a huge leap compared to the $301million USD spent on mobile gaming in 2012.
The main factor in mobile gaming taking off is the popularity of tablets, which can offer gaming options on the go with 3G internet connections.
It also offers a better platform for developers to bring out free-to-play games, a model that is interesting many studios.
