EA reveals FIFA 14's Teammate Intelligence system

EA Sports has revealed new details for FIFA 14, including information on a new Teammate Intelligence system.

AI players will now make better decisions when supporting an attack, so they'll make smarter runs when going forward.

Attackers will also check runs to confuse defenders and open up the vital space needed to score a goal.

The new Teammate Intelligence system also helps when defending, as players will now be better equipped to track runs from opposition players.

EA Sports has also provided an image showing off players making runs in FIFA 14, which you can see below.

"One of the most memorable moments from the 2006 FIFA World Cup occurred when Argentina strung together 24 passes before scoring a fantastic goal against Serbia and Montenegro," said EA Sports.

"The attackers knew exactly where they should be to open up the opposition and they executed flawlessly.

"With Teammate Intelligence in FIFA 14, players will have better decision-making and teams will play smarter on both the attack and defense to bring the beauty of the game to life."

FIFA 14 was officially unveiled last month for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
