Disney has agreed a multi-year deal that will see EA develop and publish Star Wars games.
The deal includes games across multiple platforms, with Disney retaining the rights to develop mobile, social and online Star Wars titles.
EA's Frank Gibeau also claimed that Visceral, DICE and BioWare would be involved in making the Star Wars games.
"Every developer dreams of creating games for the Star Wars universe," he said.
"The new experiences we create may borrow from films, but the games will be entirely original with all new stories and gameplay.
"Powering it all will be the Frostbite 3 development engine - guaranteeing incredible graphic fidelity, environments and characters."
