Aliens: Colonial Marines only shipped 1.31million copies

Sega has confirmed that big budget Aliens: Colonial Marines only shipped 1.31million copies as of 31 March.

The game was handled by multiple studios over the years and launched with a number of bugs and issues which hindered sales.

A Wii U version was also scrapped earlier this year, however Sega said it plans to ship seven games on Nintendo's newest console this financial year.

Elsewhere Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed shipped 1.36million units, while Football Manager 2013 shipped 940,000.

Officially licensed Olympics game, London 2012, also performed below expectations by shipping 640,000 units.
