Sonic 3: Episode 2 unintentional release on Steam

This weekend eagle-eye players may have seen an unfinished version of Sonic 4: Episode 2 for download on Steam.

The game, which had reportedly many bugs and missing game textures, was online for download before being pulled by Sega, with all mentions deleted from forum posts and other community forums.

Despite that CVG managed to get some of the screens which were posted, and we've uploaded them for you here.

One of the key issues with Sonic was that of continuing momentum, which has been discussed a lot in forums and through feedback. It's been said that jumping and running feels a lot better and you won't loose momentum when you're spinning, as you have in previous games.

The game is due for release on 15 May on Xbox LIVE and PSN. It'll also be available on Steam.
