Thief heading to Xbox 360 and PS3

Eidos Montreal has confirmed that Thief will also be heading to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The latest game in the Thief series was originally announced for PC and next-generation consoles, but now you won't have to buy a new system to play it.

"Since Thief's announcement for a 2014 release on high end PC and next-gen platforms, we've received a huge number of questions from community members wondering if the Thief experience would ever be available for their current generation consoles," said Eidos Montreal's Adam Badke.

"With full details of the new platforms still emerging, it's understandable that some of our fans are cautious to plunge feet first into the awesomely hot but uncharted waters of the next generation.

"Yep, it's official! Thief is now confirmed for PS3 and Xbox 360 - in addition to PC, PS4 and Xbox One!"

The game will launch on all platforms simultaneously in 2014.

Each version will also contain the same "core experience", which suggests the main differences will be graphically.
