Xbox One doesn't come with headset because of Kinect

Microsoft has confirmed the Xbox One doesn't come packaged with a headset as the Kinect can be used for voice chat.

"Xbox One does not include a pack-in headset accessory," a representative of the company told Ars Technica.

"Each Xbox One includes the new Kinect sensor, with highly sensitive multi-array microphones designed to enable voice inputs and chat as a system-level capability, both in-game and with Skype and other experiences."

Those that want a headset will have to pay a little bit extra for the accessory.

"For gamers who prefer the headset, we have a variety of offerings that you can find on the Xbox Wire."

Xbox One's big rival, the PlayStation 4, will come with a headset bundled in.
