Microsoft back at Tokyo Game Show
Language »
Microsoft has confirmed that it will be returning to the Tokyo Game Show this year.
The platform holder decided to skip last year's show, as well as Gamescom, as it wanted to focus on smaller events.
Now it will be back in full force to show off the Xbox One and try to gain a foothold in the Japanese market.
Japan has traditionally been a tough region for Microsoft to crack, with only 1.6 million Xbox 360 consoles sold there.
This is in stark contrast to the influence that Sony and Nintendo have in Japan, with 12.6 million Wii consoles sold as well as 9.3 million PlayStation 3 units.
The Xbox One doesn't currently have a Japanese launch date, but Microsoft is inisting that details will be confirmed later on.
