Windows boss set to take vacant Xbox role
Windows boss Julie Larson-Green is being lined up to replace Don Mattrick as the next chief of all things Xbox.
Mattrick confirmed earlier this week that he would be leaving his post at Microsoft to become the new CEO at Zynga.
Now Bloomberg is reporting that Larson-Green, who has been with the company for 20 years, will take on the role.
It's all part of a management reshuffle going on at Microsoft, which CEO Steve Ballmer is overseeing.
Apparently Larson-Green will be in charge of hardware engineering for the firm, including all things to do with Xbox.
In her two decades at the company, Larson-Green has worked on several of Microsoft's biggest products, such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office and Windows 8.
Ballmer is in the process of finalising the restructuring so other positions may be changed as well.
