Xbox One games playable while downloading

Microsoft has confirmed that players will be able to start Xbox One games while they're downloading from Xbox Live.

When the new console was revealed in May, Microsoft said that players would be able to play games while they're installing from a disc.

Until now it was unclear if the same rule applied when downloading games online, but it appears as though the Xbox One will be similar to the PlayStation 4 in that regard.

Last week Sony's Neil Brown explained how players would be able to play PS4 games while they're downloading from the PlayStation Store or while they're being installed from a disc.

Both consoles are set for a release before the end of the year.
